COMPARE THE WEEK

Daily high-to-low tide differences

Compare the predicted spread for each local date

The largest predicted daily high-to-low difference is 3.1 ft on Tue, Oct 27: a high of 3.1 ft at 9:19 AM and a low of -0.0 ft at 2:50 AM. The smallest daily difference is 2.4 ft on Sat, Oct 31.

  1. Sun, Oct 252.8 ft
  2. Mon, Oct 263.0 ft
  3. Tue, Oct 273.1 ft
  4. Wed, Oct 283.1 ft
  5. Thu, Oct 292.9 ft
  6. Fri, Oct 302.7 ft
  7. Sat, Oct 312.4 ft

Calculated from the highest predicted high and lowest predicted low on each date in the NOAA CO-OPS seven-day tide data. Those events may not be consecutive. Differences do not indicate current speed, surf conditions, flooding risk, or safe access. Predictions are not observations and local conditions may differ. How to interpret this comparison.

LOCAL TIDE CONTEXT

Sebastian Inlet tides: bridge station, jetties and NOAA high/low events

Sebastian Inlet uses NOAA station 8722004 at the inlet bridge. The station provides official predicted high and low tide events, but not NOAA 30-minute interval predictions. CoastalNow labels any chart curve between high/low events as a derived visual estimate, not an official continuously sampled forecast.

Fishing occurs on both jetties at Sebastian Inlet State Park, but tidal height at the bridge is not the same as water speed through the inlet. Strong tidal currents, waves, slick rock and changing official alerts must be evaluated separately. The fishing conditions score cannot predict catches or guarantee access.

Check current State Park rules and closures before visiting. The inlet bridge prediction and the open Atlantic shore are different physical environments.
